Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre have a vacancy for a maintenance fitter apprentice with our long standing host employer based in the Noble Park area. Our host company produces aluminium castings for the motor industry and are looking for an apprentice to help service and maintain the machines in their plant. Our host is constantly improving their processes and machines to remain world leaders in robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing. You will learn a wide variety of skills to set up your career

**Benefits of this apprenticeship**:
As a full-time Australian Apprentice in this trade you will receive $1,250 every six months for the first two years of your apprenticeship **($5,000 in total)** This is on top of your wage Get paid to learn

**Your duties may include**:

- Operate and adjust production machines
- Run diagnostic checks, and troubleshoot to identify problems in production
- Design new components and systems using CAD/CAM systems
- Repair machines and build components in repair of facilities
- Use programs to monitor machine processes and performance
- Perform changeovers/setups, preventative maintenance, and fault finding
- Examine and evaluate specifications for the requirements for a task
- Operate and adjust machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools and welding equipment
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Year 11 schooling
- Eagerness to learn new skills
- Positive approach to workplace safety

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Must be an Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia
