**Happy Angels Homes is** seeking a Biostatistician who plays a pivotal role to join us on full-time basis. This role is tasked with designing the data collection process, preparing, analysing, and interpreting statistical data. The role is integral to the experimental planning and design for NDIS Participant, including those with special needs, particularly impacted by vision problems, epilepsy/ intellectual disability, and other health issues. This role reports to the CB Therapies, Behaviour Support and their Medical Team.
Core Responsibilities
- Statistically analyse various care plans to identify differences in benefits for NDIS Participant in high care and SIL condition with underlying health issues for the optimal care plan
- Statistically analyse various care plans to identify differences in benefits for NDIS Participant only understanding Cantonese/ Mandarin in High care/ SIL situation, especially with specific types of health issues, Blind/Epilepsy/Intellect Disability, thereby selecting the optimal care plan and for different types of health issue NDIS participants
- Communicate extensively with Participant and family in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English, fully understand customers' health conditions, collect their health and behaviour statistics, and produce reports.
- Compile statistics regarding vision problems for our Cantonese/Mandarin speaking NDIS Participant, formulate specialised care plans for patients with vision problems and other health issues.
- Provide expert statistical advice to our NDIS plan review team.
- Prepare and review statistical plans and randomisation schedules.
- Develop and review listings, tables, and figures for DAILY CARE study reports.
- Conduct and review statistical analyses.
- Carry out internal reviews of the statistical methodology and results sections of study reports.
- Actively participate in client meetings.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Advanced degree in a discipline related to Biostatistics is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in statistical analysis in pharmaceutical or health research.
- Minimum of 1 years of statistical programming experience. Experience with SAS programming.
- Clinical experience with a comprehensive understanding of management of health conditions, and their impact on sensory system, especially visual and auditory.
- Patient-facing experience is strongly desired.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with clients, management, and other stakeholders effectively in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, analyse problems, formulate clear and effective solutions, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in a multilingual environment, including English, Mandarin, Cantonese. This includes the ability to prepare reports and procedural documents, as well as explain complex concepts to colleagues and clients. Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese is necessary due to our customer base.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
