**The Opportunity**

Establish in 2016, Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) is the largest provider of outsourced private emergency departments to hospital partners within Australia. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Emergency Departments and providing a superior level of emergency care to patients. PEHA prides itself on short wait times, expert care, personalised service, and excellent follow-up.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Practice Manager with a
**can-do** attitude to join PEHA as their liaison within Hobart Private Hospital. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of PEHA operations within the Emergency Department. Working closely with doctors ensuring that clinical staffing requirements, compliance, financial, administrative, and customer service requirements are delivered efficiently and effectively.

**About You**

The ideal applicant will have a proven experience as a successful Practice Manager. This person will be well organised, skilled, and approachable with an understanding of Healthcare Services gained within any area of the Private Medical Sector. To be successful in this role you will need to be a passionate, engaging, and confident manager with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Ideally, you will have excellent knowledge of Medicare Administration and Private Health refunds.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Create, nurture, and foster a transparent and collegial relationship with the NUM and Clinical Director of the Emergency Department
- Manage practice finances and prepare financial reports.
- Proactively manage Medicare and DVA billing and submissions
- Identifying opportunities within the community to build and grow business within the Emergency Department
- Actively engage with the community to raise the profile of the Emergency Department
- Establish, build, and nurture relationships with key stakeholders integral to the running of the Emergency Department
- Manage Workcover and injury management processes with the companies to ensure a consistent and efficient process
- Identify companies and build Workcover and injury management portfolios
- Arrangement of all locum terms - including flights, accommodation, cars, paperwork, credentialing, Medicare Provider numbers
- Maintain and update and have available in advance the On-Call Roster for the Emergency Department
- Rosters - manage the Doctor’s roster working at least 3 months in advance.
