**The Role**
ALS is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our metallurgical services business based at our Iron Ore Technical Centre (IOTC) in the suburb of Wangara, Perth, Western Australia. Successful applicants will become part of its busy metallurgical testing laboratories that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results and by maintaining strong relationships with its clients.

Initially, these positions are casual roles but working full time hours based on projects, with a possible view to permanent employment after a period of service. Working Holiday Visa holders are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be able to do both Day and afternoon shifts.

These are not FIFO mine site positions.

Training will be provided for all tasks.

Typical duties include:

- Handling and preparation of Iron ore samples (inventorying, crushing, blending, and pulverising)
- Grinding, size analysis, filtering, drying and sample submissions
- Iron ore related testing (drop tower, bulk density, jigging and magnetic separation)

**The day to day**
- Good numerical, communication, organisational and time management skills
- Good physical fitness and ability to undertake shift work if required.
- Be detail oriented, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- A high regard for personal safety and the safety of others
