**Description**:
Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor you will be responsible for conducting high quality metallurgical test work on a range of iron ore samples in a timely manner after a period of on-the-job training.

The primary responsibilities of a Metallurgical Technician include collecting and analyzing plant samples, conducting test works in the metallurgical lab and preparing reports, assisting metallurgical team with plant surveys, assisting with projects/trials as required by the Metallurgical Engineers and daily Tailings Storage Facility inspections.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Accurately and safely perform a wide range of metallurgical test work on iron ore samples in a timely manner.

Qualifications and skills required:

- 1 year experience as a Metallurgical Technician (highly regarded but not necessary).
- Sound knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment and representative sampling would be highly regarded.
- Experience in a processing, operating, or maintaining environment will be considered.
- High level of accuracy when collecting, recording, and maintaining data on relevant documentation.

**Key Attributes**:
C class (unrestricted) license is a must.

Experience with TSF inspections/maintenance preffered but not essential.

4WD ticket is preferred but not essential.
