**The Role**
Ventia are currently seeking a **Seamsperson /** **Store Services Assistant** to join our team at HMAS Stirling - Rockingham, WA. This is a permanent ongoing position working on Ventia’s **Defence Base Services contract**.

In this role, you will be responsible for all tailoring and medal mounting tasks as well as support the Site Leader and assist staff in the efficient day to day operations of the clothing store and retail service delivery to our Defence client.

**Duties, but not limited to**
- All associated tailoring to uniforms for Defence members
- Medal Mounting
- Receive, check and release items, including kit issues to recruits and other base activities
- Provide service to customers in selecting and fitting clothing items when required
- Stock placement, packing & preparing for dispatch
- movement and storage in correct bin location and conduct bin transfers
- Maintain accurate stock movement records using in-house computer systems
- Process documentation and perform EFTPOS transactions and reconciliation activities
- Assist with stock takes and spot-checks and monitor areas for unauthorised access
- Operate stores machinery, tools and equipment not requiring license/requiring license
- Pick and process customer orders for other stores and assist with processing disposals

**Skills & Experience**
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Seamsperson/ Tailoring experience - Teritary qualifications will be highly regarded
- Must have a valid WA Driver’s License
- Experience within a warehouse operations environment and/or retail sector will be highly regarded
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or under routine supervision
- Confident keyboard, data entry and computer literacy skills
- Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures, under supervision
- Reliable and able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling using various methods
