Technology Delivery Specialist

We are seeking a **Technology Delivery Specialist** for a 3-year contract**. **The primary focus of the Technology Delivery Specialist is to ensure all IT services, projects, and enhancements under the "IT Operations" stream get delivered and governed in a timely cost-effective manner with the highest quality. The Technology Delivery Specialist will oversee and manage multiple scrum teams, small projects and the day-to-day management and monitoring of respective technical deliverables.

The Technology Delivery Specialist will work closely with technical and business product owners and is responsible for managing product backlogs, and project budgets, enforcing and driving deadlines, supervising team members, visualising work, and providing regular multidimensional stakeholder reporting.

Responsibilities for this engagement are primarily:

- Leading project planning sessions, requirement gathering, backlog refinements, sprint reviews, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, steering committees and project working groups
- Provide technical delivery management/leadership, functional and work management co-ordination to agile delivery teams and to initiative-based project teams.
- Manage and communicate cross team dependencies within operational teams and provide advice and guidance to make a smooth alignment
- Provide project management process and technology leadership across projects and IT Ops teams and ensure adherence to defined policies, procedures, and work practices.
- Manage day-to-day project activities, facilitate scrum team deliverables, and support service activities, monitor staff performance, and assist line managers with performance reviews for internal staff.
- Provide multidimensional status reporting regarding project/scrum deliverables highlighting dependencies, risks, issues, timeline, scope, and budget. Also ensure regular communication to respective sponsors, the IT leadership team and to key stakeholders
- Provide recommendations, advice and coaching to agile delivery teams, project/implementation managers to continually uplift the delivery approach and seek opportunities to improve the working rhythm
- Consult and provide stakeholders with timely and accurate advice and support on key matters. Seek to understand stakeholder and customer needs and to ensure fit for purpose solutions can be implemented
- Ensure high level engagement with stakeholders, including in team meetings, to ensure project linkages and dependencies are widely known and understood by the IT Ops team.

Key Selection Criteria
- 7+ years of proven experience in IT project delivery with demonstratable experience managing complex projects under rigid governance frameworks
- 3+ years working as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master, ideally in a multi-project, scaled environment, implementing, and uplifting agile practices and governance, including running stand-ups, backlog grooming sessions, retrospectives, showcases, stakeholder reporting, facilitating steering committees etc.
- Demonstratable experience in project lifecycle management including business case, project initiation, planning, implementation, tracking and managing issues and risks, preparing appropriate project meeting minutes, producing multidimensional reporting, and experience with post-implementation reviews.
- Demonstratable experience operating in scrappy environments and entrepreneurial drive to get things done in a fast-moving environment where objectives can change, multiple work streams are in play and priorities compete.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen and vendor management experience across key dimensions including contracts, service level management and investment management.
- Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent written & communication skills.
- Strong self-manage, self-organise, multi-tasking and time management skills and strong customer focus service ethic, interpersonal skills, and agile mindset, always look for opportunities to learn and improve

**Other Requirements**

Regular and unplanned travel to rural and remote areas of Victoria (including areas where no public transport options exist) may be required as part of this role.
