The Volunteer Project Officer will work as part of a team to action Northern Rivers Community Gateway’s Volunteer Management Framework and associated activities under the Volunteer hub.

This community development framework is adaptive to local disaster risk and disaster responses.

The Volunteer Project Officer will play integral role focused on engaging with volunteer Organisations, community engagement and volunteer training and development /management within a place-based service context.

Working within the Volunteer Programs, the Project Officer will support other activities and implement training for online access to organisations and volunteer guidance.

**Selection criteria**

**Essential**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications with substantial experience in a community development role or community project environment experience.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessment to gauge training and development needs.
- Strong desktop and in person research, presentation, and reporting skills
- Experience with volunteer management and community engagement.
- Knowledge of current learning & development methodologies, practices, and policies, including adult learning principles.

**Desirable**
- Vocational qualifications in Training and Development.
- Knowledge of project management tools or programs.
- Presentation skills for group work/interagency meetings.

**Additional requirements**

1. Experience in the microfinance or loan field.
1. Evidence of full COVID vaccination.
2. Current NSW Drivers licence.
