Within a community development framework work with volunteers and volunteer involving organisations to strengthen the capacity of communities experiencing disadvantage to become more resilient and inclusive through greater engagement, participation and belonging in the community.

The Volunteering Project Officer will develop a cross sector approach in working with volunteer involving organisations to establish a collective learning framework.

This role will work as a member of the Social and Financial Inclusion Branch and will work as part of the team to support the outcomes of the branches volunteer programs.

**Selection criteria**

**Essential**

Relevant tertiary qualifications in the social and community development field with relevant experience in a community development role

Sound understanding of Community Development practice.Understanding of and experience working in partnership with local services, agencies, and service networks.Experience conducting community consultations and meetings and organising community events, such as open days, and expos.Demonstrated research skills and disseminating information.Sound verbal and written communication skills including networking, stakeholder engagement, research and report writing skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Demonstrated computing ability including the use of Microsoft and database programs.

**Additional requirements
**A current NSW Drivers licence and willingness to travel.

Willingness to undergo a National criminal history record check.
-Vaccination evidence - Covid and Flu
