**Accountabilities include**:

- Contribute towards a central case management capability to improve compliance and enforcement outcomes, including working with legal and legislation policy stakeholders to develop and implement: an accountable, transparent and streamlined governance framework that clearly defines departmental roles and responsibilities for investigations and prosecutions; associated policy, guidelines and procedures that are consistent with investigation and prosecution standards and best practices; initiatives targeted at improving State-wide investigation capability, including awareness and understanding of judicial processes, case presentation and court appearances; a planning, resource and performance management framework.
- Ensure that all regional cases are managed in accordance with agreed quality assurance and performance management principles and standards, including the preparation, timely delivery and quality of reports and briefs of evidence.
- Undertake complex and sensitive investigations as directed by the Regional Director and report on findings, including making recommendations for future actions.
- Assist and support staff with investigations; monitor and manage risk and progress and provide advice on improvement measures for implementation across the State to ensure state wide consistency.
- Maintain liaison with Transport Regulation Branch Prosecutions Unit officers in order to ensure identification and implementation of measures to improve the quality of reports and briefs of evidence.
- Evaluate the outcomes of compliance and enforcement activities, recommending review of compliance and enforcement policy and/or legislation as necessary.
- Provide high quality advice and reports to senior management and leadership teams to manage risk to the achievement of business objectives and to inform and support decision making.
- Maintain an expert working knowledge of best practice compliance and enforcement models, principles, practices and tools.
- Develop effective knowledge-sharing networks; mentor and deliver training to staff in the use of relevant practices and tools.
- Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity, tact and discretion, ensuring professionalism and probity at all times.Mandatory requirements:
