About the Role

The role of Field Service Officer/Meter Reader is responsible for data collection duties from commercial and domestic properties across Geraldton and the surrounding area under our Western Power and Atco contracts.

You will receive on the job training and support from our team who take great pride in delivering quality work and great customer service

Key responsibilities and challenges of the role include but are not limited to:

- Driving the company vehicle in order to complete most duties
- Obtaining and entering meter readings into a handheld data device on a 62 day cyclic reading schedule
- Disconnection and re-connection of meters
- Ensuring that the final readings and other details are accurate and returned in a timely manner
- Services provided are to the satisfaction of the consumer and the service authority
- Contributing to the public perception of the company and service authority by dealing with the public in a courteous manner with high standards of personal presentation
- All works are completed safely using correct occupational health and safety procedures

Applicants must possess:

- Commitment to work 5 days per week, Monday - Friday 30-35 hours
- Current & valid WA driver's licence - auto and manual
- Sound communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills including conflict resolution skills
- Ability to understand and follow work procedures and safe approach to work
- Highly motivated, flexible and organised

The following qualifications are required for the role.

Where the applicant doesn't already hold the qualification, training will be provided:

- OHS Construction Industry White card
- First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
- Network Authority Card (NAC) - desirable
