We are seeking a full time Baker who will be able to work independently or as a part of a team, reliable and will be rewarded with a great salary also a friendly and supportive work environment.

**The Role**:
As our **Baker** you will be preparing and baking bread loaves, rolls, buns, cakes, biscuits and pastry goods, in accordance with observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspect baking preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
- Season and bake according to recipes or personal judgement and experience.
- Weigh and measure ingredients;
- Assist the Director in creating the cafe's menu;
- Adjust menu depending on the seasonality or availability of ingredients;
- Comply with HACCP system for food preparation and processing;
- Use recipes as well as personal judgment to season and bake pastry recipes
- Prepare Café daily baking, roasting, grilling & poaching
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Verify that prepared bakery and pastry meets requirements for quality and quantity
- Wash, cut and prepare foods designated for baking.
- Stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
- Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils.
- Estimate expected baking consumption
- Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff as required
- Contact suppliers to maintain adequate stocking level

**Requirements/Skills Qualification**:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field, preferably 3 years
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Familiar with industry best practices
- Coordinate and supervise work of junior kitchen staff.
- Flair for taste and creativity
