**About the Position**

Located in Taigum is Symes Grove Residential Aged Care Facility, we are currently looking for Personal Care Workers on a Permanent Part-time basis working AM shifts to join our team.

We are looking for people with heart, passion, and dedication to support our residents. We love what we do, and take the utmost pride in our work. We genuinely care about our residents, we value their happiness, and dignity. If you share our passion this is the role for you

**A typical day may include**:

- Providing quality assistance with a range of daily activities including supporting residents with preparing meals, cooking and cleaning up
- Supporting residents with self-care including getting out of bed when they are ready, bathing, and enabling them to dress as they please
- Offering motivation and enthusiasm for residents to complete the jobs and tasks they wish to - promoting life enrichment and enjoyment
- Assisting with general housekeeping and laundry duties and keeping the cottages clean
- Involvement with daily living duties, along with social and recreational activities

**About you**:

- Providing emotional, social support to residents in a companion-style role
- Being enthusiastic, compassionate and personable; encouraging and adaptable
- Desire to work as part of a team, sharing tasks and duties across the cottages to ensure residents receive the best support possible
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the confidence & capacity to contribute to care plan documentation
- Be committed to supporting the elderly and comfortable working within professional boundaries and guidelines
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or similar
- National Police clearance (current within six months)
- Full Covid Vaccination evidence
- Hepatitis B & Tetanus immunisations
