**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity for an engaging and tenacious Volunteer Coordinator. Your new role as the Volunteer Coordinator will be offered as a permanent Part-time, 21 hours per week, based at our Head Office, 12 Lakeside Rd, Eastwood NSW 2122.
This role will coordinate & innovate the delivery of our Community Services with a clear vision to expand and grow CCA NSW volunteer participation. You will be responsible for the management of the Volunteer Program. Building relationships with stakeholders is a key part of the role as you will engage community members as well as organisations to participate in our volunteer services. You will also oversee recruitment, management, training, and support of volunteers.
**Duties**
- Recruit appropriate volunteers for CCA programs
- Interview and onboard volunteers, matching their interests with clients or other opportunities across the organisation.
- Prepare an effective volunteers job description
- Ongoingly improve volunteer engagement and support system and process
- Manage and mentor volunteers, supporting them to complete the necessary training.
- Build new connections and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
- Effectively communicate and build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contact referees to confirm suitability and character reference
- Provide training forums for volunteers
- Maintain & update volunteer database
- Organise the Volunteer Thank You Event
- Exceptional communications skills and proven ability to work independently.
- Experience in the Aged Care and/or Community Services sector desirable
- Ability to recruit and support volunteers and the ability to undertake a caring, fair and respectful approach in the management of volunteers and customers
- Ability to work as part of a team, willingness to support other teams
- Solid administration skills and computer literacy with programs such as, Microsoft 365 (Excel, Power Point, Word), Virtual meeting programs (Zoom, Teams).
- Strong planning and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications
- Current driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Time flexibility when required for occasional extra events and training.
- Demonstrated drive and integrity.
- Genuine interest in the CCA NSW mission and values, and an ability to convey passion and commitment through promotional efforts.
