Make your mark as a manager & leader as part of an award winning program - Evaluate|report|guide|consult to deliver exceptional educational outcomes - Part time, 3 days, 22.8 hours - hourly rate $65.67 plus super plus salary packaging **Your role**: The Education Support for Children in Care program was recently implemented across Victoria. After a recent recruitment drive, we employed 16 new qualified Teachers growing our program by around 50%. Due to that growth, we were able to create new leadership roles. As part of our commitment to the development of our employees and our continued drive towards continuous improvement we have created this role. You will be supervising 2 Lead Teachers and work between Preston and Ballarat with travel required to Ballarat once per week. You will contribute to the development of the program and monitor data to maintain program fidelity as well as build strong professional working relationships with DFFH. **The program**: The Education Support for Children in Care program provides qualified teachers the opportunity to provide one on one teaching to vulnerable young people residing in residential care and out of home care to re-engage with education, improving retention and completion. Improving the life outcomes for young people through education. Education Specialists implement tailored educational programs to meet the individual needs of the young people. This includes providing intensive teaching in literacy and numeracy to enable the young people to reach their true potential. **Who are we looking for?** - Tertiary qualifications in Education, VIT registration and considerable experience as a senior teacher with leadership and management experience. - Management and leadership skills. - Exceptional administrative skills, communication and relationship building skills. - Experience supervising teachers (you will provide this once every 3 weeks). - Experience or the ability to oversee Personal Education plans for young people in care, so a strong understanding of the Victoria curriculum. - Demonstrated experience in working with children and young people with complex needs, understanding how trauma affects learning. - Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff and create a workplace culture based on cooperation, teamwork and common pursuit of organisational objectives. - Skills and commitment to actively develop and lead whole of program improvement initiatives. **What makes this such a great role for you**: - The full-time equivalent salary is $129,763 - Pro rata this amount to 3 days per week, 22.8 hours. - Tuesday is an essential workday but we provide flexibility to work 2 others days that suit. - You also get access to salary packaging which decreases the tax you pay so you get even more of your salary in your back pocket. - Work alongside an experienced Program Manager. - Based at an office in Preston with a team that covers the northern, western and Ballarat areas. - Use your own car for travel to Ballarat and claim the kilometers. - Fixed term to December 31st 2025 yes, but as the program grows and develops so will your role.
