**Position Summary**: The High Physical Support Personal Care Worker provides essential care and support to individuals with complex physical support needs. The role includes assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility support while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Personal Care Assistance**:

- Provide assistance with daily hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients in completing personal routines in a manner that respects their privacy and dignity.

**Mobility and Transfers**:

- Use specialized equipment (e.g., hoists, wheelchairs, and transfer aids) to assist clients with safe movement and transfers.
- Support clients in repositioning to prevent discomfort or pressure injuries.

**Medication and Health Management**:

- Assist with medication administration as per care plan guidelines and monitor any changes in client condition.
- Observe and report any signs of health concerns to the supervisor or healthcare provider.

**Nutrition and Mealtime Support**:

- Assist clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed, adhering to dietary requirements.
- Ensure clients are hydrated and nourished, paying attention to any allergies or health conditions.

**Emotional and Social Support**:

- Engage with clients in meaningful activities and conversations to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Encourage clients’ participation in social and recreational activities, respecting their preferences and capabilities.

**Household Assistance**:

- Support clients in maintaining a clean and safe living environment, including light housekeeping tasks as required.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Accurately document care provided, daily activities, and any incidents or changes in client condition.
- Communicate effectively with other care team members and healthcare providers to ensure consistent care.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

7. Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent).

9. Identification Docs DL/ Passport etc

10. Right to work in Australia - VISA/ Citizenship

11. First Aid/ CPR

12. Practical Diabetes for Disability Support Workers

13. Manual handling

14. Infection control

15. Experience with complex or high physical support needs and knowledge of relevant assistive technologies.

16. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.

17. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and professionalism.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility.
- Comfortable working with clients who may have varying degrees of physical dependency.

**Work Conditions**:

- May include day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts based on client needs.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
