- In situ concrete, grouting and in-house leading Industry Precast Concrete operative (Precast Australia).
- Capital construction project delivery.
- Asset Management Services with key focus on Oil & Gas and Mining.
- Earthworks.
To mentor and coach HSE Coaches, to provide advice, assistance, guidance and support to the client and project management on all safety, health and environmental issues relevant to the project. Ensure project compliance against SIMPEC systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage, support and coach the site teams in the implementation and auditing of the HSE Plans and procedures.
- Mentor and Coach employees, LTSC and management team on the project.
- Be a role model for our culture SIMsafe.
- Display and communicate SIMPEC values at all times
- Communicating HSE compliance requirements for the Business.
- Provide HSE input to Construction Work Packs.
- Adhoc travel to support SIMPEC projects.
- From time to time Support site based HSE Coaches with leave coverage and/or mentoring
- Review company procedures and processes to ensure legal compliance.
- Champion and conduct ISO Audits on SIMPEC projects to ensure compliance with the SIMS
- Conduct regular reviews of work procedures to identify improvements in hazard control.
- Provide assistance to work teams in risk identification and the preparation risk assessments.
- Assist in tender submissions.
- Drive SIMPEC’s Critical Risk Management Program.
- Conduct investigations where required by the Business.
- Assist in the management of SIMPEC injured workers.
- Assist in the management of SIMPEC HSE Management systems such as but not limited to: MyOSH, Online Induction, ChemAlert.
- Support and maintain a safe and healthy workplace and for adherence to company policies and other applicable laws, regulations and standards for the workplace. Ensure practices adopted reflect a commitment to the highest standard in OH&S and environment.
- Develop and manage appropriate site induction training for all employees and subcontractor personnel.
- Report regularly to the HSEQ Manager and applicable Project Manager on all HSE issues and identify any existing or potential problems which may affect performance of the SIMPEC contracts.
- Manage the safety performance statistics report (incidents, work hours, frequency rates etc.) identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop, foster and maintain safety awareness programs within the SIMPEC project teams.
- Liaise directly with client to maintain high level customer service relationships.
- Work closely with the HSEQ Manager to develop innovative change in the safety space. To be smarter than our competition.
Key Attributes and qualification;
- Bachelor of Science (Health, Safety and Environment) - Would consider a diploma with previous experience in a similar role.
- Current Driver’s license.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Construction White Card.
- Cert IV in TAE.
- Internal Auditor,
- Taproot /ICAM lead investigator,
