**About the role**:
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Turnaround and Inspection (T&I) Maintenance Superintendent to join us at the Lytton Refinery, QLD, in a permanent full-time capacity. You will oversee the Refinery T&I program and, plan, schedule and execute Turnaround events as required. You will be able to create an impact by owning the long-range T&I Strategy, delivering the optimal balance of production targets, execution risk and capital allocations through the equipment life cycle, while complying with the Turnaround Mangement System (TMS) and being focused on industry bench marking. You will require a continuous improvement mindset to strengthen current systems and processes, as well as build on our strong delivery culture.
This is a leadership role with direct and indirect reports.
The role is onsite at our Lytton Refinery, QLD and we would consider interstate relocations.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Take an active role in leadership field visits and toolbox talks to connect with the frontline workforce across the site.
- Manage the T&I Program and long-range strategy.
- Direct the planning and execution of plant turnarounds.
- Own and ensure conformance with the turnaround management system.
- Provide monthly reporting to Refinery Leadership Team.
- Lead Daily progress meeting and report event status daily during the Turnaround execution windows.
- Manage all aspects of T&I preparation performance using adequate KPI’s to track delivery.
- Coach and mentor direct and indirect reports and work with them to remove obstacles to providing effective services.
- Effectively communicate Turnaround Management System requirements cross functionally and ensure overall event outcomes by influencing others and providing risk escalations as required.
**About you**:
Desired applicants must have extensive Turnaround/Shutdown experience along with previous experience developing processes, procedures and systems. Refinery experience is desired but not essential to be considered.
**Additional skills / experience**:
- Proven people management experience (including supervision and guidance of contractors)
- Strong project management experience and success with execution/ delivery
- Demonstrated cross functional approach to ensure best practice outcome
- Strong achievement focus - high energy levels and commitment to results
- Experience in the management of maintenance, conversant in machinery design, condition monitoring, equipment failure investigation and analysis
- Ability to plan and manage long term capital budgeting
- Experience aligning to organisational strategy and executing localised strategies and plans, translating these into shorter term strategies and work activities
