Working closely with the Domain Operations Lead, regional team & broader IT Domains, the Technical Product Owner will be accountable for Plan, Build and Run across the International and domestic business’s ensuring a point of ownership on projects that affect the operations as well as working with suppliers to ensure that services are delivered to a consistently high standard to all Qantas staff irrespective of their location.

Additionally, the Regional Technical Product Owner will have a focus on Airport IT services:

- Work with other Product Owners within the Airport Experience domain to deploy products and services to International & domestic regions
- Manages third party support technicians on projects and daily support activities in addition to representing IT on business led projects such as new airport start-ups
- Cultivate and maintain a relationship with Qantas Technology vendors to support regional
- Managers with initiates such as Service Improvement plans
- Provide Commercial Management of local technology suppliers
- Manage the product lifecycle for airport products and services
- Be able to travel domestic and/or International for short periods as required

The Technical Product Owner is a leader with a customer-centric mentality, responsible for developing a team culture of continuous improvement and innovation. They will manage the quality of service and operational stability, including IT risk and compliance management, delivering service improvements and providing input to service management strategies.

You’ll have:

- The ability to work as part of a remote team as well as be self-driven.
- 5+ years’ experience in an Agile environment and 3+ years as an agile Iteration Manager working within a scaled agile environment (or equivalent work experience)
- 3+ years in delivery roles work with Agile vendors
- Work in an multi-supplier outsourced IT environment
- Expert stakeholder management skills across both business and technical functions
- Solid experience in operational service management, inclusive supplier and service improvement plans
- Experience in coaching and modelling Agile mind-set and ways of working
- Proficient in multiple Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, design thinking, HCD and other frameworks
- Experience designing and facilitating fit for purpose workshops that deliver defined outcomes
- Expert stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Experience with Aviation and/or Airport technologies is desirable
- Able to work cross-functionally and align business unit processes to enterprise business processes
- Strong negotiation and conflict skills
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Strong people leadership skills and experience
