**Role**:
- Lead the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen/Garden program for students in years 3 to 5
**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of this position will be:
- Lead the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen/Garden program for students in years 3 to 5, and to integrating learning in the garden with learning in the kitchen
- Facilitate classes with the aid of the classroom teacher/volunteers and guiding small groups as they participate in the cooking/garden program
- Be resourceful about obtaining necessary equipment: seek donations where possible
- Liaise with the wider community and nurture relationships with those donating goods to the program
- Coordinate and support volunteers, compile and update volunteer information, advertise for volunteers, respond to interest from potential volunteers

**Location Profile**:
Westgarth Primary School is located in the inner-city suburb of Northcote approximately eight kilometres north of the city. The school was founded in 1924 and is located on two adjacent sites. The Prep/1/2 classes and administration centre are located at the Brooke Street site and the 3 to 6 classes and specialist facilities are located on both sites.
Buildings include refurbished open planned learning spaces, studio learning spaces, modular five portables, a kitchen garden centre and STEM centre. A new full-sized gymnasium and second storey classroom building with an under croft for undercover play, currently under construction and due to be completed early in 2025. School grounds include a kitchen garden, playgrounds at both sites, inclusive playground on the Brooke St site and areas for passive play and seating.
There are approximately 540 students enrolled. The Student Family Occupation Education (SFOE) index is 0.0487.
