Maintenance Planner

**Your role**

We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Laverton team. As a trade qualified electrician, instrument technician or mechanical fitter, this multi-dimensional role will see you executive effective maintenance across the site to achieve a safe and reliable plant, whilst identifying opportunities to minimize down time and improve use of resources.

The site is a licensed **Major Hazard Facility** and is managed under a rigorous safety management system, ensuring employees are protected.

**Your responsibilities**
- Ensure maintenance work is performed safely, ensuring compliance with all Ixom and site SH&E procedures
- Manage and assisting with breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting & support
- Planning and scheduling preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance activities
- Coordination and supervision of contractors
- Procurement of parts, labour and equipment
- Completion of assigned audits according to site audit schedule
- Reviewing equipment failure using RCA and suggesting improvements
- Optimise maintenance systems to achieve target reliability, reduce cost and maximise resource utilisation

**Your skills & experience**
- Trade Qualification as an Electrician, Instrument Technician or Mechanical Fitter
- Experience in maintenance of a continuous process plant (desirable: experience in maintaining ChlorAlkali or other chemical plant)
- Industry experience in Chemical manufacturing or oil & gas.
- Experience in computerised maintenance management systems, such as MEX
- Prior experience managing contractors
- Planning and scheduling using a CMMS system
- Good attention to detail and proven focus on accurate and efficient record keeping
- Strong safety focus
- Ability to communicate and work with a wide variety of people
