The ANZ Ingredient Sr Buyer Procurement role within the Direct Materials Procurement Team at McCain is responsible for leading the sourcing of ingredients, managing an annual spend of $60 million. This includes developing supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and recommending business awards.

The role will collaborate with the Head of Direct Materials to develop sourcing strategies and work closely with R&D and Value Engineering teams for technical optimization. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact and shape the procurement function at McCain globally.

**About the role**
- Responsible in leading or serving as a team member in developing and execution of Ingredients categories strategies.
- Project Lead or serve as a team member in Strategic Sourcing activities including Supplier selections, onboarding & qualification process, negotiations, contract/supply agreement and assisting in category operations management such as managing transition process.
- Identify and Project lead Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) projects to drive margin improvement/ cost reduction, continuous improvement, challenging status quo, and innovation within the categories.
- Build and lead Supplier Relationships Management program (SRM) development to deliver significant value for McCain Foods, ensuring company purchases in the spending pool comply with McCain Global Procurement Policy and governance. This will include monitoring supplier performance versus expectations/service level agreements.
- Annual and Quarterly Budgeting : Works closely with finance and stakeholders to establish and manage budgets for respective category areas. Incorporates contractual commitments. Has ownership and accountability for goals and objectives tied to productivity, innovation, and cash flow.
- Assisting the Commercial team as part of New Product Development (NPD) process and perform sourcing activities inline with internal policy and procedures within the IBP Process

**About you**
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Must have a 2 to 4 years procurement experience in a commercial role preferably with some Ingredients/agricultural/horticultural experience
- Experience with SAP ECC, Coupa, Power BI or relevant ERP System would be advantageous.
