**About the Role**

The Specialist IT Sourcing position is responsible to provide support and advice for procurement of IT products and services across the DTP while ensuring appropriate procurement approaches are in place including probity requirements and financial authorisations as set out in the DTP procurement policy and the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) guidelines.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- Exercise professional independent judgment to provide sound sourcing advice for IT initiatives while ensuring alignment with relevant procurement policies, probity requirements, authorisations and guidelines as set out in the DTP procurement policy and the VGPB guidelines.
- Negotiate with and influence stakeholders to gather and understand client IT sourcing requirements, raise awareness of procurement processes, ensure compliance with relevant policies and practices to improve overall outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of and changes to policies and procedures relating to IT sourcing ensuring clear guidelines are in place for procurement of IT goods and services.
- Develop relationships to effectively negotiate with and influence key stakeholders to improve understanding and awareness of the value provided by IT sourcing function and ensure agile delivery of outcomes in line with customer's expectations.
- Provide effective leadership, people management and support to the team members while ensuing staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive, and flexible team operations.
