**About the Role**:
As the Lead Designer, you’ll drive the design direction across our internal design team, responsible for delivering craft excellence across all design work. You’ll lead the execution of design projects across digital, print, and external marketing channels. This role blends leadership with hands-on design, ensuring all work aligns with our brand vision and business goals. You’ll lead a talented team of designers, guiding them to deliver high-quality, impactful design solutions that elevate the brand experience. With a strong focus on design excellence, collaboration, and consistency, you’ll play a key role in shaping the visual identity of Origin across all touchpoints.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the design vision and day-to-day operations of the Design Studio, ensuring design and craft excellence while delivering for customer needs across digital, print, and marketing platforms.
- Inspire and mentor a high-performing design team, fostering a culture of collaboration, craft excellence, and continuous growth.
- Balance strategic leadership with hands-on design, actively contributing to creative execution and setting a high standard for design quality.
- Manage the Studio’s budget and resources, ensuring efficient delivery of impactful work while maximising creative value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX, marketing, and brand, to ensure consistent and cohesive design across all customer touchpoints.
- Champion the role of design at Origin, staying ahead of industry trends and advocating for the Studio’s value and future growth within the business.

**About You**:

- A creative leader with over 10 years of design experience, including 5+ years leading high-performing teams in studio or agency environments
- Expert in visual storytelling, typography, layout, and multi-channel design, backed by a strong portfolio of polished, high-impact work
- Strategic thinker who aligns design execution with business goals, driving creative integrity and strong commercial outcomes
- Knowledge of Ai implementation across the design process and experience balancing efficiencies with craft excellence
- Proficient in tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with a deep understanding of design systems and principles
- Highly adaptable, detail-focused, and thrives in fast-paced environments while consistently delivering top-tier creative work
- Strong collaborator with experience working cross-functionally with design, marketing, and content teams to deliver cohesive brand experiences.
