**About the Role**
Our Support Workers assist individuals of all ages across the Association. We have casual Residential Support Worker and Community Support Worker roles in our Shared Living team, all working together to meet the goals of the individuals we support. No day is the same and you will have a diverse caseload, so on any day, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone’s life.
Our Residential Support Workers make a positive difference in the lives of the adults residing in shared homes by assisting them to live the life they choose, including daily activities such as hobbies, personal care and domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning and maintaining a home. Residential Support Workers also update records and complete administrative tasks.
Our Community Support Workers spend their days supporting people with Autism to carry out daily tasks, helping them get to appointments, exploring interests and hobbies or going on adventures in the community.
**About You**
We are looking for individuals that have an understanding that each person is different and have a kind caring nature, together with confidence and passion to advocate for others.
In this role, you will ideally have:
- Motivation to provide care and advocate for others
- A commitment to supporting individuals needs and goals
- Previous experience, or transferable skills from the human services sector
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Sound decision making and problem-solving skills
- Full driver’s licence without P plates
- A suitable vehicle
To join our team, you'll be required to obtain a COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccination and complete the required clearances including a NDIS Workers Check.
