**Role Description/Criteria**

St Michael's Catholic Primary School, Ashburton, is seeking a highly motivated Performing Arts teacher to join our community for 0.4, replacement teaching position. The days of work will be Mondays and Tuesdays.

The successful applicant will:

- enrich our students with an engaging and contemporary Performing Arts curriculum
- actively work with our student, staff & parent community to ensue that the Performing Arts program has a strong presence in the culture of St Michael's School
- provide an environment of inspiration, engagement, and enjoyment to the children in our care
- model the Catholic and community values of the school, working with the community of this school which is made up of families from diverse social backgrounds
- have a commitment to Child Safety and a knowledge of Child Safety Standards
- have a strong commitment to the philosophy of Catholic Education
- be registered with the VIT or hold Permission to Teach
