**We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This role will lead the assigned warehouse function in managing all facets of the operations related to area of responsibility. This position is required to contribute to the effectiveness and leadership of the Logistics Operations team, with a focus on continuous improvement, change management, culture and engagement and safety.**
**What you’ll do**
- **Promote a safety-first culture at Metcash and enforce OHS, company policies, and legal requirements.**:
- **Report and address near misses, hazards, and safety incidents, while following Chain of Responsibility requirements.**:
- **Ensure safe work practices, prevent bullying and harassment, and manage incidents effectively, including incident investigations and rehabilitation support.**:
- **Delegate work tasks based on team member capabilities and facilitate training and communication.**:
- **Maintain a high-performance team culture through coaching, engagement, and effective communication.**:
- **Monitor and control warehouse operations within your operational responsibility**:
- **Utilise operational tools and systems relating to specific warehouse operations role**:
- **Supervise and execute resource plan based on workload and workflow**:
- **Understand the EBA as relevant to your team and the specific contents as relating to expectations, engagement and performance management.**:
- **Work with Logistics Operations Management team to identify opportunities to reduce operational costs (i.e, overtime, shrinkage, transport etc)**:
- **Assess trends in performance data over time to identify opportunities to make improvements**:
- **Recognise and control systemic / recurring issues**
**What you’ll be**
- Strong FMCG operations experience with exposure to fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in using Continuous Improvement tools and leading teams for optimal outcomes
- Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to influence change and support customers.
- Experience with automated warehousing systems (Desirable)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook
- Knowledge of EEO, OH&S and HACCP Regulations
- Have experience in building, Coaching and developing talent
- Certificate III or IV in Logistics or Warehousing (Desirable)
