**The opportunity**:
Join our innovative non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) laboratory, providing percept NIPT, a leading prenatal screening service based on advanced cfDNA analysis. We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to perform a variety of technical tasks, including laboratory work, upkeep duties, and maintaining procedural documentation. This role requires attention to detail, a methodical approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. **Your responsibilities include**:
Provide technical support within laboratory
Maintain laboratory stock inventory, equipment records and organise preventative maintenance to ensure the smooth running of the laboratory
Prepare samples for testing, laboratory reagents and solutions
Operate liquid handlers
Competent computer skills to operate laboratory equipment, process specimens
**What we need from you**:
Certificate or Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory) or equivalent
1-year experience in an NATA/IANZ accredited laboratory
Understand specimen reception and patient information
Handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
