The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Womenswear Designer to join the Trenery team at the most pivotal time in the brands history. You will be managing a team responsible for the design, sourcing and development of the Trenery range, and play a huge role in the growth and success of the brand going forward.

Key Responsibilities
- Design product range ensuring it aligns with Trenery brand document and meets Trenery image, option plan, price points and margin in conjunction with Head of Design
- Ensure company timetable deadlines are met
- Manage the strategic design brief selecting seasonal colour palettes and discussing trends in silhouette, fabric and colour
- Maintain focus on target customer and attract new customers through range with Head of Design
- Work collaboratively to implement approved business initiatives through existing operational structures and ensures ownership
- Lead and develop the Junior Designers / Design Assistant to ensure they are equipped and motivated to achieve functional goals
- Utilise forecasting information provided to contribute to the design brief and build range
- Prepare and present design briefs and ranges to EMC
- Interact with stores, Merchandise Manager, presenting the range and talking through key looks
- Liaise and build relationships with overseas agents and key stakeholders to communicate styling and design concepts
- A tertiary design qualification and previous experience in a Designer role
- Experience building ranges taking into account core, seasonal and aspirational elements
- Advanced skills in Illustrator and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work within team
- High Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills and deadline driven
- Strong problem solving skills
- Team member capability and succession development
- Personal Leadership
