Our client is seeking a skilled **Cyber Penetration Tester** to simulate real-world cyber-attacks, assess system resistance, and provide valuable insights aligned with their Penetration Testing Policy. This is a **6 month initial contract**, with a possible 12 month extension.

**Overview of Role**:
As a Cyber Penetration Tester, you will undertake highly complex and sensitive work under broad direction, operating with a considerable degree of independence. Your leadership skills will be crucial as you exercise sound decision-making and judgement, providing high-level policy advice. You will engage in complex problem-solving and issues management, coordinating and conducting detailed or sensitive testing that influences strategic, political, and operational outcomes for the agency.

**The Penetration Tester's Tasks/Duties may include some or all of the following**:

- Infrastructure penetration testing against enterprise grade systems hosted on both Windows and Linux based platforms.
- Development of penetration testing reports detailing any vulnerabilities, priority ratings, recommended treatments, and an executive summary detailing business impacts and systemic recommendations.
- Working with system owners to develop a test scope, prepare for testing and ensure remediation has been completed effectively.
- Mentoring and skill development of junior penetration testers.

**Primary Technologies**: Java, NodeJS, Angular, SAP, IBM WebSphere, OpenShift, Azure, and Active Directory.
- Proven track record in developing and executing penetration test plans, producing comprehensive reports that assess the criticality of identified vulnerabilities, recommend treatments, and provide executive summaries outlining business impact.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with system owners to define test scope, prepare for testing, assist in developing remediation plans, and ensure effective completion of remediation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate vulnerabilities to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Up-to-date knowledge of common threats and vulnerabilities.
- Experience in conducting mobile penetration tests.
- Familiarity with OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities and PTES methodology.
