**In this role, you'll**:

- Operate large/complex plant items to support the efficient construction and maintenance of road infrastructure. The role also undertakes a range of Road Worker Grade 3 duties when required.
- Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refuelling and check the fluid maintenance records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items.

We take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 50 km distance from the Yass or Gundagai TfNSW depot.

This position will require you to work regularly away from home.

**About you**:
We’re seeking a team player and knowledgeable plant operator who is experienced in safe and efficient operations of Road maintenance equipment.

You’ll be confident, and highly capable operating major plant including Backhoe, Excavator and Skid Steer and have proven experience rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them accordingly.

You must hold the following qualifications:

- White Card
- Current Medium Rigid / Heavy Rigid driver’s licence Traffic Control certification (implement traffic control plan will be essential)**Who we are**:
