**DESCRIPTION**

**You will make an impact in the following ways**:

- Build strong relationships across functions to ensure the organization understands their roles and responsibilities and are committed to driving a positive health, safety and environmental culture.
- Ensure employees are consulted and given the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures.
- Lead hazard identification, environmental aspect identification and risk assessment programs to identify strategic risk improvement opportunities and gaps in health, safety and environmental compliance obligations. Manages planning actions to set targets and objectives for the site and supervises actions through completion.
- Lead an effective support model throughout the site through training, skills development and internal communications. Develops and maintains support content ensuring it is up to date, controlled and available while adhering to data privacy regulations. Interfaces with external regulatory bodies as required with the support of the legal department.
- Lead HSE operations within the site(s) providing support to solve issues, including but not limited to health, safety and environmental compliance, capital and resource management, risk reduction, incident investigation, management of change, contractor safety, emergency preparedness and response, pollution prevention and environmental sustainability.
- Drive improvements to health, safety and environmental performance metrics using a risk-based and data-driven approach.

**As part of this, you will**:

- Support branches who have been identified as focus sites with an Improvement Plan
- Support branches reviewing their HIRAs, AIAs, Management of Change and ensuring overall legislative compliance
- Support branches in preparation and execution during audits
- Support Change Management, LOTO, Facility Coordinators and other relevant parties and initiatives.
- Provide support and training in Cummins systems and processes
- Deliver critical information and facilitate training

This role works across various time zones in South Pacific - notably AWST, AEST, NZST. Flexible working hours are encouraged to support across the time zones and allow for work-life balance.

Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis - Examines HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence based investigations with accurate root cause analysis, resulting in effective corrective actions, accurate reporting and avoiding repeated incidents.

Influence the Health, Safety and Environmental Culture - Champions positive health and safety behaviors by influencing leaders and employees to create the right environment.

Measurement and Evaluation of Health, Safety and Environment Performance - Collects and analyzes data by creating key performance indicators to evaluate performance trends, deliver improvement goals and objectives, inform strategy and protect employees and the environment.

Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**To be successful in this role you will need the following**:
Intermediate level of experience required, including experience in management of health, safety and environmental ISO Standards. Minimal management experience preferred.

This role requires travel, potentially at short notice, across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, approximately 50% of the time and requirement to be based onsite
