Role Description
Uniform Shop Assistant

Reports to:
Uniform Shop Manager

Position: Casual

Role Purpose:
This role is to provide excellent customer service to parents, students and other members of the Meriden community
including staff, for their uniform requirements. This role also works as part of the uniform shop team to provide
support where needed in the day to running of the shop.
- Responsibilities:

- Assisting students / parents in the purchase of uniforms to ensure the appropriate sizing / quantity of items are

purchased
- Liaising with parents / students to ensure that the correct uniform items are purchased for the relevant age and

year groups
- Taking payment for items purchased
- Opening and closing the shop
- Reconciling the sales against money received at the end of day
- Take daily takings to the business services office for banking
- Accepting clothing into the second hand clothing pool
- Accepting stock deliveries and entering stock / invoices into the inventory system
- Restocking shelves and maintaining a tidy work environment
- Undertaking an annual stocktake
- Any other task that may arise from time to time within the shop as agreed with the shop manager.
- Other Skills and Attributes
- Proven organisation, time management and communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Confidentiality, flexibility, initiative and discretion
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Fully embrace and support the Christian ethos of Meriden
- Have a personal appearance and demeanour which represent the School in a positive way
- Loyalty to the School and the Principal.
