Your Opportunity
As the Assistant Director, Educator Excellence & Innovation you will support the strategic and operational priorities of the Education and Training portfolio at TAFE Queensland Gold Coast. Working closely with the Executive Director, Education and Training you will contribute to the advancement of high quality vocational education and training through focusing on supporting educational excellence, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position reports to the Executive Director, Education & Training.
This is a Permanent Full Time opportunity.
The position will be based primarily at the Ashmore Campus, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of key educational initiatives and projects that support the Region's and TAFE Queensland's Strategic and Operational Plans.
Work collaboratively with academic and operational teams to explore and support the development and enhancement of educational delivery models that promote innovation, responsiveness, and quality outcomes.
Actively participate in the review and improvement of academic and administrative systems that underpin student progression, support services and compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
Provide expert advice and insights to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices and identify best practice initiatives that enhance educator capability and student learning outcomes.
Represent the Education and Training portfolio in internal and external forums, networks, and stakeholder engagements as required.
Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that training programs are aligned with current and future workforce demands strengthen the integration of industry feedback into program development and delivery.
Contribute to data analysis, reporting and strategy development aimed at improving key performance indicators that assist in identifying trends, challenges and opportunities to enhance student access, retention and satisfaction.
Participate in risk assessments, audits and reviews to identify potential issues affecting educational quality promoting a proactive approach to risk management and compliance.
Undertake a range of strategic and operational projects that involves research, analysis, coordination and reporting in a dynamic educational environment.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Extensive knowledge of legislative frameworks applicable to the VET sector, and a proven ability to provide pragmatic, innovative and strategic advice to enhance business performance.
Demonstrated ability to support and enhance workforce capability through supportive leadership that rewards excellence and encourages creativity and innovation.
High level organisational skills, as evidenced by the ability to work autonomously, manage multiple competing priorities and influence key stakeholders, often with opposing agendas, in order to achieve successful outcomes.
Support positive cultural change and contribute to raising aspirations by promoting a shared commitment that prioritises client satisfaction and educational excellence
Highly developed communication, negotiation and relationship management skills as evidenced by the ability to influence strategically, and a record of achievement in developing and effectively managing positive and collaborative partnerships with a wide variety of key stakeholders.
Highly Desirable Requirements
An appropriate qualification in Education and/or Vocational Training and leadership experience within the VET sector.
