Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
**Your Opportunity**:
The initiative is aimed at adolescents and young people aged 12-25 years (and their families/carers) referred to headspace with MHAOD needs who would likely:
- Benefit from additional specialist, multidisciplinary MHAOD clinical assessment, treatment and care for more serious and complex MHAOD needs which cannot be met by the current Woollongabba headspace model
- Benefit from supported referral and transition to further/ongoing health treatment and care within an HHS
**The position of Allied Health Practitioner Senior will**:
- Deliver high level professional clinical mental health services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to optimise psycho-social outcomes for adolescents and young people with severe and complex mental health problems and disorders, and their families and carers within a child and youth mental health service.
- Work collaboratively with headspace services to support seamless service experience for adolescents and young people (12-25 years) with MHAOD needs referred to headspace services, consistent with a no wrong door policy and providing the right service at the right time.
