**Role Description**

Reporting to the Public Health Unit (PHU) Director, the Operations Manager provides operational and strategic management for business and administrative services in the PHU. Working in close collaboration with other senior managers in the Unit, the Operations Manager ensures planning, performance, financial, risk and resource management activities and reporting are undertaken in a timely and coordinated manner consistent with Bendigo Health policies and procedures, and in accordance with the funding and policy requirements of the Department of Health.

Directly responsible for supervision of administration/project staff, the Operations Manager leads, mentors and inspires staff across the Unit to implement best practice planning, business and administration processes. Building and maintaining productive collaborative relationships within the Unit, across Bendigo Health and with external agencies including the Department of Health, the Operations Manager contributes to the development and implementation of PHUs strategic and operational plans.

The Community and Public Health Services Division has a primary focus on improving the health outcomes of the communities in our region.
