**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Cable Jointing: Perform high and low voltage cable jointing and terminations ensuring compliance with Western Power standards and specifications.
- Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain HV/LV underground cables, Western Power infrastructure such as Pillars, Pits, Transformers, Ring Main Units and LV Panel boards. This will include testing and fault finding.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, and work orders related to HV/LV cable jointing.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, conducting thorough inspections and testing to verify the integrity of cable joints.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job sheets, test results, and safety reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Problem Solving: Quickly and effectively address any issues or obstacles that arise during the jointing process.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Proven experience as an HV/LV Cable Jointer, with specific experience on Western Power projects.
- Western Power approved accreditations for HV/LV cable jointing.
- Strong understanding of Western Power standards and specifications for cable jointing.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid working visa.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites as required.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.

Pay: $77,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
