**The Opportunity**

Your day will include, though not limited to, all aspects of service, maintenance and repairs to trucks and trailers, new vehicle pre-delivery/fit ups, electrical & mechanical diagnostics, hydraulic repairs, diagnosis and more. Our technicians will need to ensure the quality of our work is maintained at the highest possible level.

Ideally you will have experience working with European, American and Japanese trucks preferred but not limited to. You will be specialising in the service and repair of a variety of fleet trucks such as Mercedes Benz, Freightliner, Fuso, as such you will be responsible for all tasks associated with keeping the trucks operational You must be capable of working in a fast-paced workshop environment and possess a genuine pride in the company you are representing which will secure our future success and viability. Training will be ongoing both in house, online & on-site factory training with OEMs such as Detroit, Freightliner, Mercedes Benz and Fuso.

**Skills and experience**
- Cert IV in Heavy Vehicle Technology or Equivalent
- Current driver's license - truck licence preferred
- Capacity to work unsupervised
- Able to work under pressure
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Desire to undertake further training
- Possess strong leadership & communication skills
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of Work Health & Safety policies & procedures
- Be self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
- Commit to working Saturdays as part of a rotational roster
- Commit to overtime & afterhours breakdowns.

**Specific Responsibilities**

**Service Operations**
- Road test vehicles with customers and diagnose customer concerns prior to vehicle booked in for service and/or repair
- Assist all technicians and apprentice technicians in the diagnosis of vehicle problems
- Upon completion of normal repairs and/or services inspect and road test vehicle to ensure the vehicle has been repaired and/or serviced in accordance with the customer’s instructions and company guidelines
- Ensure customers receive the best quality service by requiring that all jobs are “Fixed Right First Time”
- Ensure all customer vehicles are always clean upon completion
- Check and inspect that all tools are available and maintained in the correct place and that all equipment is in suitable working condition
- Maintain a positive staff morale & culture
- Make suggestions to management for improvements to the Service Department’s operations
- Perform other duties as requested by Management
- Assist towards keeping the workshop area clear of vehicles, that looks clean, tidy and attractive in appearance

**Professional Development**
- Attend training and any other trade TAFE courses to maintain current product related technical information
- Maintain adherence to Elite Support and continuous improvement

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
