TEG Life Like Touring is looking for a Wardrobe and Puppet Supervisor to be responsible for all wardrobe and puppet requirements for the Australian and New Zealand tours of Peppa Pig’s Fun Day Out LIVE

Contract position: Weekly Fee + Per Diems (when away from home base), all accommodation and travel provided.

**The Role**

The Employee shall perform all services customarily rendered by the Wardrobe and Puppet Supervisor of a first-class musical stage play (of the same quality and calibre as a Broadway/West End musical). Without limitation on the following employee duties shall include:

- Attendance at rehearsals and assistance with cast management as required.
- In preparation for the tour, becoming familiar with puppet design and care processes, pre-production preparing puppets, puppet props and any related accessories to go on tour.
- Handling and overseeing all puppet maintenance and upkeep, which can happen before, during, and after performances.
- Re-fitting, repairs and maintenance as required of all show costumes for the cast including Meet and Greet costumes if required.
- Assist with managing aspects of the production, including cast and crew backstage during performance. participating in set movement, pre-set of props, prop movements, pre-set of costumes, quick changes and assisting with puppetry during performances.
- Care for all costumes before, during and a]er each performance including Meet and Greet character costumes.
- Oversee the regular washing/cleaning of all show costumes, character heads and feet.
- Oversee the regular washing of all cast underwear and inner-body stockings to maintain the condition and hygiene of such undergarments and costumes.
- Spot clean of puppets, as needed.
- Off stage puppet care and handling as needed during performances, rehearsals, press appearances, Meet and Greets, as applicable.
- Checking all the puppets look their best before each performance and press/promo appearance.
- Oversee the regular maintenance and repairs of the puppets, show costumes, character heads, mech mouth control devices in the hands/heads of all costumes on tour, as needed.
- Ensuring all puppets and costumes are transported with care and that they are unpacked and prepped with care to protect them from harm or from getting soiled before, during or after any performance.
- Maintain communication between cast and crew to ensure any costume or puppet related issues or concerns are always dealt with in a timely manner.
- To personally report to Life Like Touring any issues that come to the attention of the Wardrobe/Puppetry Department that need further input.
- Assist the local crew to learn the required show plots including the creations of said plots if required.
- Review of OH&S assessment of each costume in the rehearsal room and plan for risk management in conjunction with the show Directors and Choreographer.
- Adherence to Venue OH&S requirements to support the safety of Cast, Crew and Audience in every circumstance in every venue.
- Actively principate in matters and activities relating to OH&S including compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and codes of Practice.
- To assist the Company Stage Manager with cast/crew liaison at any performance regarding any relevant issues/incidents/accidents or near-misses arising before, during or a]er the performance.
