The Quality Control (QC) department restructuring to align with future business needs and development of departmental responsibilities, and as a result of this, a permanent “QC Team Leader - Release” role within the department has been created.

This person will report directly to the Quality Control Associate Director and form part of the Quality Control function, which also includes QC stability, and Manufacturing Quality Associates (MQA).

As a QC Team Leader - Release, you will coordinate all aspects of the release program, which will include but not limited to the testing, trending, and release and/or reporting/collation of data, for raw materials, plugs, vials, and finished products.

This person will manage one Senior Associate and one Associate within the Release team, which will involve work planning, coaching, and motivating the team.

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, along with good documentation practices are desired.

**Responsibilities**

The role reporting into the QC Associate Director (QCAD):

- Perform and coordinate testing/release of raw materials, vial, plugs, in accordance with procedures (primary function)
- Perform and coordinate finished product testing in accordance with relevant test methods and specifications (primary function)
- Coordinate testing with external laboratories
- Ensure timely and accurate results are reported to QA, QCAD or delegate
- Conduct out of specification and out of trend investigations in accordance with Parnell procedures
- Participate in multifunctional investigations to drive to root cause of any incidents
- Conducting scheduled in-house instrument calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of instrument issues
- Participate all other aspects of QC as required by QCAD

**Skills & Experience**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry (human or veterinary)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/management role
- An awareness or competency in cGMP/cGLP
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong writing skills relevant to quality documents and reports
- Be able to work autonomously and as a team
- The ability to communicate effectively with personnel from all levels
- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues while making timely and accurate decisions
- Proactive attitude
