**Your new company**
The Assistant Director is responsible for a range of procurement and contract management outcomes. The procurement function delivers high quality procurement advice and support to agency ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), Accountable Authority Instructions (AAIs) and associated Rules, policy, and guidance.
**Your new role**
The position is responsible for providing advice and assurance on procurement and contract processes including the development and execution of procurement plans, tenders, panel arrangements, evaluations, negotiations, contracts, and stakeholder engagement. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively, to think laterally and to develop solutions to procurement issues together with excellent liaison, negotiation, and network building skills.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Provide procurement guidance and advice to line areas on complex procurement, contract management and probity matters in accordance with Government legislation and policy.
- Triage contract management and procurement matters that require escalation for legal advice, and/or opinion.
- Manage the development and continuous improvement of procurement policies and processes in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Identify, develop, and manage procurement and contract management training to staff.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with internal teams, business stakeholders and external entities to continue to shape the overall delivery of services.
- Manage mandatory reporting obligations including Senate Order, Indigenous Procurement, AusTender, and annual report.
