The Role

An exciting opportunity to join Iconic brand, Country Road as a Junior Planner. This position reports to the Merchandise Planner and is pivotal in supporting the success of the channel. This role is responsible for the preparation of the merchandise plans for the season, buying/quantification, as well as the proactive management of sales, stock and profit.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work collaboratively as part of a larger team and with various functions of the business, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Planner in all aspects of merchandise planning including the production of financial reports, budgeting, forecasting and reporting on all aspects of inventory
- In season trade and review and recommend forecasts on sales, markdowns, stock, stock turn, margin, purchases and gross profit
- Prepare and contribute to seasonal review for business area
- Ensure availability of key volume lines through item planning tools and effectively working with sourcing and design to ensure on time delivery goods
- Facilitate the weekly trading meetings by providing analysis recommendations to achieve sales, GP and stock targets
- Ensure stock levels are appropriate across the appropriate channels and stores so that inventory is productive and aged stock levels are kept to required levels across the business
- A real passion for numbers, and retail
- Previous experience as a Planning Analyst, established Allocator or Junior Planner
- Strong forecasting and financial management experience
- Sound planning and organisation skills
- The ability to build strong relationships across the business
- Strong commercial acumen with a great eye for product
