Our client, a leading gold mining company with operations across Africa, is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join a high-performance management team at an expansion-focused operation in Africa. The Technical Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing underground technical services activities across mine engineering, geology and geotechnical areas.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Developing and implementing high-performance-driven technical systems and procedures to support underground mining operations;
- Providing technical support and guidance to the management team on all aspects of underground mining;
- Overseeing sound execution of mine planning, design and production cycles to optimise site operations;
- Overseeing the collection and analysis of geotechnical data to support mine design and planning;
- Managing and mentoring the technical services team to ensure high levels of performance and professional development;
- Ensuring all underground mining activities are in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field;
- A minimum of 12 years of experience within underground mechanised mining surroundings;
- Knowledge and experience with Long Hole Stoping mining methods;
- Strong experience with short to long-term mine planning procedures;
- Experience managing technical services team/s in an underground mining environment;
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
