**The situation**:
Our client has a permanent position available for contracts advisor to join their team, they are after someone who has exposure/ background to the legal component of contracts and procurement. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career and expand your skills in areas where you feel you would like exposure to, you will be apart of a small team who work together to achieve results.
**What you will be doing**:

- Preparation and negotiation of Contracts.
- Providing support across the business, including advice on a broad range of contract and legal issues; along with the preparation and administration of contractual correspondence, notices, contract change proposals, variations, progress claims
- Management of the group Contracts Register
- Analysing risks including corporate governance; contract and legal compliance and prepare briefings as required for management.
- Keeping internal stakeholders informed of emerging legal developments affecting company operations and developing policies and processes in response to these developments

**Experience required**:

- A minimum of 2-3 year’s contracts management and/or legal experience in commercial setting.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills. Capable of engaging with all levels of the business and experience operating in a cross functional team environment.
- Strong contract and legal drafting skills and an eye for detail.
- Ability to adapt to change and manage competing priorities
- Project and / or Contract management experience in a mining or construction environment would be considered advantageous but not mandatory
