What the job entails:
At Serenity Support Services we take pride in our support workers knowing that they will provide more than just daily care. We are not just support workers.. we are a friend, we are a mentor, we are a confidant Majority of our clients are based in South Eastern Melbourne, as well as Melbourne City.

At Serenity Support Services we require you to have the following:

- Mandatory requirements:_
- Drivers Licence (if applicable)
- International Police check (if applicable)
- Employee working with children check for Victoria
- Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate with CPR
- NDIS Worker Clearance
- Preferred qualification:_
- Certificate in Disability
- Certificate in Aged care
- Certificate in Community Services
- Certificate in Individual Supports in Community
- Certificate in Children’s Services
- Manual handling training and/or experience
- Nursing background
- Experience in high and low care needs clients

What the day to day supports look like:

- Supporting people to get to (and at) appointments.
- Community access
- Providing assistance with daily living including meal preparation.
- Personal Care, supporting the client with their hygiene routine.
- Assist and administer medicine.
- High intensity care
- Wound care
- Supporting people in general domestic task.
- Provide mental health and emotional support.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Fixed shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Melbourne, VIC (required)
