**About the role**

The Careers Practitioner, upon appointment, will work as part of the College’s Careers Team, in the provision of a holistic and dynamic careers service that supports supporting students in decision making relating to avenues for post-secondary study, pathways and careers.

The Careers Team at Thomas Carr College works closely with all stakeholders to support the individual career aspirations of every student. The Careers Education program at the College is delivered through a variety of channels, including careers in the curriculum, career counselling and vocational testing. The role will be to provide career information and advice to students, parents, staff and the school community.

A variety of inclusive opportunities and experiences occur at each year level in the Careers Program to ensure each student is equipped with the knowledge, skills and attributes to effectively manage their career and take their place with optimism in a globalised world. The additional areas of responsibility are:

- Delivery of a Careers Education Program for all students in Years 7 to 12
- Careers advice, Tertiary Study Options and Entrance Requirements
- People and Resources (Community)
- Professionalism and
- Child Safety
