With a growing footprint in both residential and commercial markets, we’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on **Business Manager** to lead our team and drive continued growth.

**The Role**

As Business Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the business. This is a leadership role that blends sales oversight with frontline action—you’ll manage and motivate a sales team, support customers, and oversee key business functions including commercial leases, fleet management, and tech systems.

This is a unique opportunity for a sales-driven, solutions-focused leader who understands the retail environment and is passionate about delivering value to customers and team members alike.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor and manage the retail and commercial sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Actively participate in generating sales, providing expert product advice and assisting the team in closing deals.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, resolving issues proactively, promptly and professionally.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer retention.
- Oversee operational aspects including lease agreements, shop fit-outs, and management of a small fleet of company vehicles.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Maintain accurate reporting, stock control, and contribute to budgeting and financial planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and commercial partners.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming retail environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in retail management, ideally within the flooring, home improvement or related industries.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills; you lead by example and foster an upbeat, collaborative team culture.
- Demonstrated sales success with a deep understanding of what drives purchasing decisions.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Technologically savvy - able to identify, implement, and manage systems to streamline business operations.
- Strong organisational and commercial acumen, with experience in managing property leases and fleet logistics.
- Drivers license required.

**Desirable**
- Prior experience in the flooring industry or a deep understanding of carpet, vinyl, laminate and hardwood flooring products.
