**The role**:
**A newly created role on Night Shift** The Maintenance Fitter will maintain the structural and mechanical supporting physical infrastructure of TrendPac manufacturing assets. The role responds to break-fix and service requests related to Facilities and Site services and carries out preventative and corrective maintenance as per the CMMS(Mex) schedule. The role is required to work at heights and in confined spaces.

The role will also provide accurate and timely communication to stakeholders and customers on issues and the status of pending and active work, keeping the CMMS(Mex) work request details up to date and accurate. The position is required to provide regular reporting of activity to plan and risks to the Maintenance Supervisor.

**About you**:
The Maintenance Fitter will be adaptable, Innovative, Organised, able to negotiate to find solutions to assist internal and external parties. Able to analyse problems by considering alternatives and able to reject unacceptable alternatives. Be adaptable to change, flexible and has great job knowledge inclusive of skills and procedures.

**You will**:

- Hold a current trade certificate as a fitter
- Proven strong mechanical skills
- Desirable to possess strong Welding skills (MIG and Purge) Predominately TIG welding including Purge welding
- Be able to read an engineering drawing
- Be able to troubleshoot and perform breakdown repairs
- Desirable to have experience working at heights and hold a current EWP licence
- Electrical Connect Disconnect qualification is preferred
- Working in confined spaces qualification, preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of different people both verbally and in writing for handovers and escalation;
- Ability to manage several priorities at any one time without losing focus;
- Good numeracy and literacy skills with a focus on attention to detail;
- Proven high Initiative, resulting in being self-driven and a desire for continuous personal development
- Basic knowledge of MEX (or other CMMS);
- Past experience with high-speed filling and packaging equipment
