About the Role
A Cyber Security Specialist in the Data Protection team will be responsible for operation and uplift of Data Loss Prevention tools, creating custom DLP rules and tuning of existing rules, policies, and alerts.
The team is responsible for investigation of DLP incidents and escalation to Legal or People & Culture for true positives, with this role providing L2/L3 support to analysts and assisting with identification, containment, remediation, and reporting activities as required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct analysis, troubleshooting, and trending of incidents/events detected from DLP solutions, and other related tooling; includes but is not limited to identification, containment, remediation, and reporting activities.- Analyze and define DLP requirements for systems which may include databases, cloud services and endpoints to safeguard Data At Rest, In Motion and In Use (DAR/DIM/DIU)- Management and ownership of AGL DLP & Insider threat solutions, create custom DLP rules and tune existing rules, policies, alerts.-
- Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions that meet security requirements.-
- Create documentation to support DLP methods, tactics, techniques, and procedures.- Assist analysts with triage and investigation of suspected and actual Data-Loss Prevention violations and potential mishandling of Protected Data in association with the Privacy and/or and People & Culture team(s).- Write detailed case reports, file and maintain records, manage and document cases including resolutions and outcomes.- Contribute to insider threat identification, behavioral analysis and assisting with escalation or remedial action.- Provide high quality documentation and operations SOPs that can be used to share skills and facilitate better planning with platform teams.- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
About You
Proactive hunts to identify, locate and safeguard protected data, including identification of potential avenues for data loss will be undertaken, and recommendations to enhance our data security posture will be provided. The role will implement and develop capabilities in our insider threat program and will carry out behavioral analysis.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor's (undergraduate) in an Information Technology/Information Security discipline or equivalent experience.- Relevant experience as an Information Security Analyst / Engineer, Law Enforcement or Investigative professional, Military Intelligence, or Analyst with a demonstrated track record in deploying and managing Data Loss Prevention.- Must possess strong technical knowledge of DLP architecture, system policies, rules, etc- Experience with RESTful APIs and automation.- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.- Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, deductive reasoning, and social perceptiveness.- Familiar with general cloud computing and related security concepts.- Previous experience with digital forensics / e-discovery well regarded, but not required.- Coding/Scripting experience (e.g. Python, Perl, PowerShell) well regarded, but not required.
