Relief Staff- Presenters

**We have an exciting opportunity for After School Club Presenters & Assistants to join our dynamic, inclusive, small business.**

We require staff to be able to cover shifts in these locations. When submitting your resume ensure to add your preferred location.

Lindfield, Mosman, Northbridge, North Sydney & Wahroonga.

Shift times range from 2.30pm-4.10pm or 7.50am-8.50am.

**The role**

This role would suit university students, retired teachers or youth support workers, school leavers over the age of 18+ with an interest in education as a further career.

If you have sound knowledge and experience working or volunteering with children we want to hear from you

You will be assisting to run educational, hands on after school clubs for primary school aged students. Students will build a variety of exciting kits items such as torches, air rockets and balloon powered cars; mixing slime or working with circuits.

During the session, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:

- Ensuring Duty of Care policies are adhered to.
- Communicating effectively with students and assisting with the project build.
- Assisting the Presenter (Club Leader) with classroom management.

**About you**

**Must have**:

- Current & PAID Working with Children Check & Valid Visa.
- Excellent proficiency in English language.
- The ability to adapt to quickly & manage a fast paced classroom environment.
- A can do, vibrant attitude with focus on supporting students and meeting Duty of Care standards.
- Be a supportive team member.
- Good dexterity to help students with small screws & parts.

**Salary 1: Presenter $80.00 per session High Standards of Communication & Self Efficacy are required.**(You need to be early to familiarise yourself with the school, collect & prepare kits before marking the role at the allocated start time. You also need to finish on time, mark the role to dismiss students, handover students to OHSC or walk students to designated pick up areas. Allow 10 minutes after allocated end time.)

**Salary 2: Assistant**$35.00 a session. Attend all sessions & act with professionalism towards all stakeholders. (School students & staff, parents/carers, Stem Tech staff.)

**About STEM TECH CLUB**

**STEM TECH CLUB** run before and after school clubs for primary school children. We are passionate about STEM and providing support to staff and students to create an inclusive class and work environment.

Stem Tech staff are able to build up their experience with different groups of children in education settings, but have the security of knowing that the sessions are pre-planned and all activities are tried and tested.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 per day

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
